Frame Error - Black Frame
"Black frame" is an extraneous or missing frame.
Black frame impacts the Content and Technical Quality of the Asset. The customer experience is negatively impacted by image drop-out, not typically creative intent given the context of the scene. Derived elements are of poor quality and unusable.
Frame drops from image in a non-motivated fashion (e.g. not intentional light flicker or cut to black for fade up).
How to Prevent:
Watchdown final timeline before export.
Use snapping to avoid blank frames in timeline.
Adhere to Netflix spec for the amount of black at the head and tail.
A frame was likely dropped on output of the final asset, a frame may have been corrupted or displaced. Two shots may have not properly joined and a blank frame exists between the two shots.
