The Assets Tab in Content Hub is a collection of assets that have been delivered and are now part of the long term archive for your production. Additionally, you will be able to deliver your Locked Cut via the Assets Tab, instructions can be found here.  This article will walk you through how to navigate the Assets Tab. 

When accessing the Assets Tab please note that the page will default to dark mode and you will want to ensure that you have the latest version of Aspera Connect installed. 

Groups and Categories

The Assets Tab is divided into four groups and then categories to help you easily find the assets you are looking for. The four groups are: 

  • Review 
  • Footage
  • Visual Effects 
  • Library

Categories will vary depending on the category you are looking at. But can include: 

  • Shots
  • VFX plates
  • Picture Mastering 
  • Sound Mastering 
  • Music

You will see all Groups and Categories listed in the left hand side panel of the Assets Tab.

The current Category you have selected will be highlighted in blue and all assets available in that Category will be visible to the right.

To the right of each Category you will also see the number of assets that have been delivered and are part of the long term archive.

You can collapse the left hand side panel by selecting the Right Arrow Icon. To expand the left hand panel select the Right Arrow Icon again.

Views

When looking at the assets located in the Categories you can view them in either a grid view or list view. Grid view will be the default but once you change the view that will persist. To switch between grid or list view select the icon located of your preferred view located in the upper left corner.

In grid view you will see additional metadata about the files you are looking at. The metadata includes: 

  • Version 
  • Files 
  • Created By 
  • Episode for Episodic Content 
  • Category 
  • Created At 
  • Actions

Filtering 

When looking at the assets located in the Categories you can filter down to the assets you care most about. The search bar is located above the assets and all filters are additive.

To filter: 

Select the + sign in the search bar.

Select the filter category you wish to use, this list is dynamic based on the subcategory you have selected.

From the drop down select the filter by checking the box next to the text. You can choose multiple filters.

Press Tab and your assets will filter.

To remove all applied filters select Reset to the left of the search bar.

To remove a single filter select the X next to that filter. If you applied multiple filters within a filter category they will be removed as a group.

Sorting

When in list view you in addition to filtering you can also sort your assets. To sort, click on any of the column headings and your assets will automatically sort.
