From the Media Library page in Content Hub you will be able to preview assets that are part of our long term archive. When accessing the Media Library page please note that the page will default to dark mode and if you need help navigating the Media Library page you can find help here

Previewing Assets

Video assets can be previewed in two ways. In either Grid view (Figure A & B) or List view (Figure B & C) select the I icon to open the details on the file including a media player.

If you wish to preview the video and audio asset on the full page media player in the Grid view, click on the thumbnail.

In List view, select the asset type text and this will open the full page media player.

In either case, the full page media player will open.

There are a standard set of controls that you will have to control your playback experience when viewing video assets.  

Fast Forward & Rewind 

You can transport the media with Fast Forward and Rewind buttons. To do so, select the double arrow icon on either side of the play icon.

Playback Speed

You can control the speed in which your media transports forward and backward at different speeds. To adjust the speed, select the drop down under Playback Rate and select your desired rate.

You can also move backward or forward through your media frame-by-frame. To do so select the next frame arrow on either side of the play icon.

Want to multitask? 

Select the picture-in-picture button to play video in a separate window. You can resize the window and move it anywhere on your screen - even outside the bounds of your browser window. 

NOTE: You’ll need to keep your current browser tab open for the picture-in-picture video to keep playing.

By using keyboard shortcuts, you can seek forward (Shift + Arrow Right) or backward (Shift + Arrow Left) by duration (in seconds) of your choice. To set your seek duration, click on the gear icon.

This will open the Settings modal. From here, you can set your seek duration (in seconds).

Note: the default is 1 second.

Audio Media Player 

To playback audio files, select the audio file you wish to play by clicking on the left hand side bar. Then click the play button under the wave form.
