Audio Drop Out


Audio contains one or more unintentional sections of silence.


If the issue is not present on your master file simply re-transcode and review the new output. Pay extra attention to the points that the original file failed at.

If the issue is present on your master file then you can either attempt to locate an alternate source. Should a replacement source not be forthcoming, or all sources are affected by the same issue, then attempt to correct the asset with the material at hand. If the issue occurs over periods where there is only ambient noise then it might be possible to fix. In the event the issue occurs during periods of dialogue or music, or is due to the content having been censored, then a fix may not be possible. If that is the case please communicate this to your Netflix representative via Backlot.
