Question:
What asset type do I deliver first?
Answer:
Every asset delivery to Netflix is dependent upon the primary video file, identified as A/V MUX in Backlot.
If you are responsible for uploading multiple asset types for a single episode or feature, for instance the A/V MUX, Secondary Audio, and Timed Text asset, then we recommend that the first asset you upload is the primary video A/V MUX asset. Only once this has moved to the "Processed" bucket in Backlot should you then proceed with the other assets.
There is no benefit to uploading Secondary Audio of Timed Text assets before the A/V MUX and we advise against this as those files will sit in a suspended state, waiting for the primary video to arrive and process.
