Question:

How do I clear out cookies and cache in Chrome?

Answer:

Sometimes it becomes necessary to clear the browser cookies and cache in Chrome. This can be because of an inability to log in to Backlot or because of unexpected behavior in the user interface. In either case, it is recommended to try this before contacting Netflix for assistance.

These steps should be the same for both Windows and Mac.

In Chrome, click the menu button   and then click Settings:

 

Scroll to the bottom and click "Show advanced settings":

This will add more to the page so that you can scroll further. Scroll to where it says Privacy and then click "Clear browsing data":

In the popup window, choose a time frame that covers when the problem first started. Usually, “the past week” is appropriate. Make sure that at least “Browsing history” and “Cookies and other site and plugin data” are selected.

Click “Clear browsing data”. You will be returned to the Settings page. You can then close Chrome and relaunch it.
