Backlot has been designed with special attention given to customization and reducing the size of the data sets you are working with. We have taken a tiered approach to help you customize the data you are working with.
Bulk actions have improved success/failure messaging, including a filtered view of the requests where the action failed to apply, along with any contextual information regarding the reason for failure.
To switch your dashboard into another language, select the gear icon, select language, and then select your preferred language.
Navigating The User Interface
Filters
Start customizing your data by applying filters. You can add as many filters as you need—each filter builds on the others and stays active until you remove it.
By default, the dashboard automatically applies the starting filter of:
- Your Vendor
- Request Status (Open, Delivered, Processed, Redelivery Requested),
- Updated within: Last 12 Months, to help streamline your search results.
You can change or remove the Request Status and Updated Within filters at any time.
To apply filters, select the search bar to find the filter you need.
You can quickly find a specific filter by typing keywords into the free-form text search.
When you are viewing a specific filter, use the free-form search to quickly find the filter you need.
To remove a single filter select the X next to that filter.
To remove all of your applied filters and revert back to the default, select Reset.
Groups

From the visible menu, select the modifiers you want to group by. You can also search for a specific modifier using the search bar.
To remove a modifier, uncheck the box next to the active modifier.
To remove all modifiers at once, select Clear Grouping.
Columns

An arrow icon will appear next to the column header to show which column is sorted and the sort order.
To sort by multiple columns, hold down the Shift key and click each column header in the order you want to sort.

If there are no requests for a particular insight, that view will appear greyed out.
If you have grouping applied you will see group-level insights that offer an at a glance understanding of those insights at a group level, these groups are not clickable.
Single Actions
To take action on a specific request, select the three-dot menu in the Actions column. The menu that appears will show the available actions for that request. The options will update based on the asset you’re viewing.
Bulk Actions
To take action on multiple requests, check the boxes to the left of each request you want to select.
A menu will appear at the bottom of the page. Where you can choose the action you want to perform. If an action is greyed out, it isn’t available for the selected requests.
After the action is complete, a side panel will appear to confirm whether the action was successful, partially successful, or failed.
