Which location can a production use to upload footage, and how do we choose the best option?
Netflix supports two main upload models; Content Hub Ingest Centers and the Footage Ingest application.
CONTENT HUB INGEST CENTER
These locations are provided by Netflix or through collaboration with local vendors and offer fast upload with no cost and minimal setup. This is the preferred option, and Netflix enables these Ingest Centers in locations with high production volumes (major cities, sound stages, etc.)

WHAT IF YOU NEED TO UPLOAD FROM A LOCATION THAT'S NOT ON THE LIST?
FOOTAGE INGEST APPLICATION
We realize that productions require flexibility to upload from other locations as well. The Footage Ingest application is software available to all Netflix productions, allowing a production to upload footage from alternative locations. Examples include local vendors, hotels or data centers. Using this software requires basic technical criteria (e.g., M1+ Mac, stable 1 Gbps internet, trained operator).
