CLP is replacing the Movie ID (MID) with Entity ID (EID). EID better reflects the wide range of content in the catalog, including sports, podcasts, live events, games, and more.

What's changing

You’ll begin seeing EID throughout the CLP.

  • The MID filter is now EID (formerly MID). Searching for either “MID” or “EID” will display the filter.

  • Applied filter chips will display EID.

  • Request rows will show EID below the title.

  • Copy Movie ID is now Copy Entity ID.

  • Other MID labels across CLP will be updated over time.

What YOU Need to Know

  • Your existing ID numbers are not changing. For example, MID 80178943 is now EID 80178943.
  • Searching directly with an ID number will continue to work as before.
  • Saved links, exports, and scripts do not need to be updated.
  • You may see both MID and EID during the transition. They refer to the same identifier.

Going forward, EID is the standard term across CLP and other Localization tools.
