Asset QC provides the functionality to export a CSV or PDF file of the QC Report of a QC Request. The QC Report collects all information pertaining to issues that are reported on a particular QC Request.

What is included in the QC Report:

The QC Report exports the following data points as columns. If the QC report doesn’t have data available for a column, it will still be included in the report with empty values in its cells:

  • Start Time
  • End Time
  • Task
  • Severity
  • Error Code
  • Flag Version
  • State
  • Fix Note Reason
  • File Name
  • Issue Description
  • Comments
    • Comments are only available for export for the Production Admin and Fulfillment Arbitration Manager roles.

 

Who can export a QC Report:

Permissions vary in Asset QC depending on a user’s job function. Different job functions have different levels of access. The following roles can export a QC Report:

 

  • Production Admin
  • Fulfillment Arbitration Manager
  • Vendor Manager
    • Comments are not exposed to users with this role.

 

Compatible QC Request States:

In order for the export icon to be available, the QC Request must be in one of the following states:

  • Complete
  • Fix Notes Needed
  • Fix Notes Submitted

 

How to Export a QC Report:

Navigate to a QC Request in one of the following states:

  • Complete
  • Fix Notes Needed
  • Fix Notes Submitted

When the request loads, select the “file with a checkmark” icon from the top right corner of the Issues panel.

A drop down menu will open where you can select to export the QC Report as either a PDF or CSV file.

 

Exporting as a PDF:

Select “Export PDF Report from the menu.

A window will open with a preview of the PDF file.

Select “Export” at the bottom of the window.

The file will be saved with the naming convention:

TITLE_MOVIEID_PACKAGEID_LANGUAGECODE_ASSETTYPE_QC-LAST-UPDATED-DATE_QCREPORT.PDF

For example:

The_Show_Season_4_Episode_5_80000000_1979948_de_Dub_Audio_Postmix_20220419_QCReport.pdf

A header is added to the top of the PDF with additional metadata along with all QC Report information below in rows and columns.

 

Exporting as a CSV:

Select “Export CSV Report” from the menu.

A window will open with a preview of the columns that will export to the CSV file. Scroll left to right to see more columns.

Select “Export” at the bottom of the window.

The file will be saved with the naming convention:

TITLE_MOVIEID_PACKAGIEID_LANGUAGECODE_ASSETTYPE_QC-LAST-UPDATED-DATE_QCREPORT.CSV

For example:

The_Show_Season_4_Episode_5_80000000_1979948_de_Dub_Audio_Postmix_20220419_QCReport.csv

The file can be opened in any spreadsheet software like Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, etc. A header is added to the top of the CSV with additional metadata along with all QC Report information.

A Note on Filtering:

Data exported as part of the QC report in either PDF or CSV format will now automatically be filtered based on the filters applied in the Issues Panel. Watch the .gif below for an example.
