The guidelines are currently split into language-agnostic guidelines, e.g. subtitle template or timing guidelines, and language-specific guidelines. They have been intentionally written to work alongside each other. For example, if working on a French language template for a French language original film, the file would have to adhere to the timings guidelines, the template guidelines and the French TTSG. For the English pivot template for the same film, the file would have to adhere to the timings guidelines, the pivot template section of the template guidelines and the English TTSG.
