Should your production be uploading your on-set media through a Netflix facility you will use the on-set registration workflow for your on-set media. Using the on-set registration will help streamline the upload processing and allow you to correct any data management errors before the media leaves set.

A detailed guide on how to prepare your media can be found here

Your transportation drive is now being indexed. The app is smart enough to distinguish between camera rolls, sound rolls, and any other content.

Any issues like hidden files, invalid characters, and uploads exceeding data limits will be flagged. For each roll, the system will check for the presence of an MHL file. If found, it will compare the files in the directory against the MHL's contents and flag any discrepancies, including extra or missing files. If no MHL is present, this will also be reported. Additionally, any hashes written in an unsupported format will be flagged.

NOTE: The app does not perform a full checksum verification. It only compares file and directory lists. Any corrupted files with checksum mismatches will only be detected after the media is ingested at the Netflix Data Center.

You can decide whether or not to fix these errors before the drive leaves set. If you decide to make changes, simply hit 'Re-Scan' to update the validation results.

The Netflix footage Ingest application is now writing a manifest file that includes the Media ID and user information. Please DO NOT eject or power down your shuttle drive during this process.

Once the directory is ready for upload you can eject the shuttle drive and deliver it to the Netflix facility you are using.
