OCF Autodownload and Netflix's ingest workflow, Productions can upload footage at various geographically dispersed hubs, separate from dailies vendors. This workflow allows for media to then be downloaded directly from ingest hubs to dailies vendors' storage systems.
At this time file-per-frame media may experience less optimal performance. If you are using file-per-frame media please reach out to your Netflix Representative to discuss options.

Key Things To Keep In Mind Before Your First Download
- Check Your Internet Bandwidth: Your internet bandwidth is crucial throughout this process. When you first install the Netflix Media Downloader application, you'll be prompted to run a speed test to ensure your network can handle the downloads efficiently.
-
Manage Multiple Downloads: If you have multiple downloads running simultaneously and have set bandwidth limits, these limits apply to each individual roll downloading. Example:
- Bandwidth limit: 500Mb
- Number of Concurrent Downloads: 3
- Sum limit: 1500Mb
- Ensure Sufficient Storage: Make sure you have enough storage space at your chosen download location. If you run out of space during a download, the process will fail.
- Use Separate Computers for Applications: The Netflix Footage Ingest Application and Netflix Media Downloader cannot run on the same computer. If your facility uses both applications, you'll need a dedicated computer for each one.
