I am working with a pre-existing subtitle file and I am unable to obtain a translator credit. How do I communicate this?
Answer:
All translation work should be credited, but Netflix understands for pre-existing files, translator information might not be available, and their willingness to be credited might not be obtainable. We trust that our partners will make every attempt to retrieve this information unless it is an old file and it is unrealistic to expect that the Content Partner will reach out to the third party that initially created the file. In this situation, the fulfillment partner should simply indicate whether or not a translator credit is present:
