Lock Event List While Editing
Keep the Event List in Place While Editing
-
On: Lock event list while editing
-
Off: Select current event when video is paused
Note: The lock works only while you’re actively editing the event. If focus shifts elsewhere, the list follows the playhead as usual.
Helpful Event Keyboard Shortcuts
Note: These shortcuts are not assigned by default. You must assign these shortcuts for them to work.
Shortcut | What it does | When to use it |
Scroll to Active Event | Centers the active event in the list | When you’ve scrolled away from your event |
Start Editing | Move the focus to the event | When you want to start typing without using the mouse |
Stop Editing | Moves the focus out of the event | When you want to let the list follow playback again |
Seek to Event Start | Jumps to the beginning of the event | When you want to quickly re-review your segment |
Seek to Event End | Jumps to the end of the event | When you want to check how your event finishes |
Select Event at Playhead | Activates the nearest event to the playhead |
When you delete an event, the playhead stays put, and the event panel becomes inactive. Use this to quickly refocus when you're ready to edit the next event. |
