Starship: User Onboarding & Account Management Guide For Dubbing E-Learning
What is Netflix Production Academy?
Netflix Production Academy is an online platform that hosts various virtual courses to ease NP3 Partners' familiarity with the Netflix Dubbing suite of tools. New and existing Partners’ operators and resources can leverage these courses to gain hands-on experience simulating through several practice modules.
How to Access Production Academy
Access to any Netflix Dubbing elearning courses is managed through Starship, Netflix’s user account management platform. Please note that you will see all elearning courses but please only onboard users to the courses that apply to your needs. A detailed list of all the elearning courses can be found at the end of this article.
Before you begin onboarding reach out to the GRS Dubbing Team to give you Starship admin privileges for Production Academy and the test project, Onboarding Sandbox | 2020 - MID (81256143).
Once you have these permissions, you are ready to onboard any of your users to elearning. Watch this video for a step-by-step guide or follow the instructions below the video.
- Log into Starship.
- Search for the user you wish to onboard. You will only be able to onboard users who are set up under the same facility as you or you can bulk onboard if you have multiple users. Please refer to the video below these steps on how to do so.
- Select Onboard.
- Select Next.
- Select the Select Roles button.
- Select Academy User then use the Onboarding Sandbox | 2020 - MID (81256143).
- Select Add Select Roles.
- Select Grant Roles.
- Fill in Crew Department ("Other", if none applicable), country, and then select the courses you wish to assign.
- Select save metadata.
The user will then get an email with a link to Production Academy, you can share a direct link to Production Academy, or your users can access Production Academy within the Authoring Tool.
